On February 18, 2019, Shanghai Mobile officially launched the construction of 5G network at Hongqiao Railway Station to meet the needs of high-speed Internet access and 4K HD video service in dense crowds.
Shanghai Mobile and Huawei demonstrated the 5G DIS indoor digital system capability, with a peak rate exceeding 1.2Gbps, and demonstrated applications such as smart robots asking for directions and food delivery through 5G networks.

On January 7, 2019, Beijing Telecom, together with Huawei, successfully implemented 360-degree 4K live video broadcasting service under 5G network by deploying 5G indoor digital system.
On January 10, 2019, China Mobile Beijing Co., Ltd and Huawei jointly opened the first 5G indoor digital system in Beijing in the CCTV Building.
On January 27, 2019, Beijing Unicom United Huawei Co., Ltd. deployed 5G indoor digital system in CCTV headquarters, cooperating with CCTV ultra-high definition video VR live broadcasting.
